| What is EZ LCMS? |
EZ LCMS is a complete on-line toolset for the development and delivery of Web-based training. Developers create training content using HTML forms, upload media, or use the PowerPoint plugin to create training.
Quiz questions can also be created using web-based forms, and can be tracked for a score if desired. The developer then "Generates" their training content and it is made available to students where their completion status and score are tracked.
The tool runs completely in your web-browser and requires no installation. Just sign-up and go... |
| What is a Developer Account? | A user that has a developer account can configure the system, create courses and training content, generate the training, set-up user and other developer accounts, and view student progress reports.
When you sign up for a developer account, you are automatically assigned the first Developer account. |
| What is a Student Account? |
A user with a student account can take the web-based training that you have created. Their progress will be tracked, scores will be collected (If there are scored questions in the course) and a bookmark will be created so that the user can quit and return to their location within a lesson.
If you set up your EZ LCMS account as an OPEN account, users may go to your log-in page and create their own account. If yu set up your account as a CLOSED account, you must create user accounts for all of your users, and assign them the courses they should take. |
| Can I import content directly from PowerPoint ? |
Yes! EZ LCMS now allows you to create content or use existing content in PowerPoint. Just download the Free EZ LCMS PowerPoint Plug In and install it. Then click the "Publish to EZ LCMS" button that appears in PowerPoint. A package will be created and you will be directed to the EZ LCMS PowerPoint import portal.
You will need an EZ LCMS Developer account to upload the content. Just enter your EZ LCMS developer account information, navigate to the .ezl file that the plugin created and upload it. You will be prompted to choose or create a course and lesson to import the content into.
Once the content is successfully integrated, you will be re-directed to the development portal where you can publish the course/lesson as is, or add narration and quiz questions if you would like.
With the new EZ LCMS PowerPoint plugin, it is possible to have an existing PowerPoint lesson converted to EZ LCMS, uploaded and published and ready for your students to take, with full bookmarking and completion status tracking (and scoring if you add question pages) within minutes. |
| How does the PowerPoint plugin work? |
The PowerPoint plugin converts your entire presentation into a series of still images. These images are packaged and handed over
to the EZ LCMS system, where they are automatically placed on EZ LCMS courseware "pages" using a special template that covers as much
screen space as possible.
Because the presentation is converted to static images, you should plan ahead by eliminating animations and video in your presentation. If you would like
animation and video in your final courseware product, you will need to re-upload them onto a courseware page in EZ LCMS in a format that is accepted by the system.
For animation, Macromedia Flash is the most common type. For video, EZ LCMS accepts Quicktime, Windows Media Video and MPEG. |
| Can I upload my own screen templates? |
Yes! New to the latest version of EZ LCMS, you may download PhotoShop templates and redesign the look and feel of the courseware interface. Once done, you re-upload them as 4 full sized images which the system adds to the available templates.
You must keep the size and location of the buttons, but you may redesign the way they look, along with the background image used for the course.

| What types of media can I import ? |
EZ LCMS allows for the import of the following media formats:
Images:
- Jpeg
- Gif
- Png
- Swf (Flash, and any other application that can create a flash swf)
- WMV (windows media video)
- Mov (Quicktime)
- Mpg (MPEG video)
Narration
- Swf (Flash)
- Mp3
- wma (Windows media audio)

| Can I cancel my account at any time? | | Absolutely. Canceling your account is accomplished simply by clicking the Cancel Account button in the Account section of the tool. Your account will remain active until the last day of your paid cycle, and you will not be charged from the next payment date on. |
